NEW Academic advising, rebuilt around the student

Every student, on course.

Wondervisor shows advisors who needs them today and why, then helps them act in a click. Students book time on each advisor’s own page, in your school’s colors.

  • Catch holds and missed registrations before deadlines
  • No student left waiting for an advisor
  • Runs on your campus, with your student data staying there

An advising workspace that knows what matters today.

Four moments advisors live every week, and how Wondervisor handles each one.

01 · Find

Ask for the students you need, in plain English.

“Seniors not registered for spring.” “GPA under 2 with a hold.” Wondervisor turns the request into filters you can see and edit. No report builder, no exports, no guessing which checkbox does what.

  • Every request becomes visible, removable filters
  • Registration by term, holds, class year, GPA, credits, program
  • Email, export, reassign or hand off the whole list at once

Type your own. The demo understands class year, holds, registration for a term, GPA, credits, online and major, and filters as you type.

Each student page opens with a brief: where they stand, what’s at risk, and what you talked about last time. Pick the talking points you’ll cover and Wondervisor drafts the meeting note for you to edit.

    03 · Act

No student left waiting for an advisor.

When students land in a department queue, Wondervisor suggests who should take them: lightest caseloads first, inactive advisors left out. Review the plan, apply it in one click, and every caseload stays fair.

Office hours students can actually book.

Every advisor gets a booking page in your school’s colors. Set your hours once and share the link in email, your LMS or on your office door. Students pick a time that works, without the email back-and-forth.

      • Weekly hours, meeting types and booking rules, set by each advisor
      • In person, video or phone, shown in each student’s own time zone
      • Busy times from your calendar and campus closures are never offered
      • Open to anyone, or only your advisees through campus sign-in
Already have a scheduling tool? Keep it. Choose it once in Admin. Every “Book time” button and advisor link goes there, and you decide whether advisors can pick their own.

      Automatic assignment

Every new student gets an advisor overnight.

Your advising center writes the rules in plain English: by program, credits, class level or admission type. Each night, Wondervisor checks every new and changed student against them, top to bottom, and assigns the advisor. No scripts to maintain, and no spreadsheet of who goes where.

      • Shared caseloads stay even. Split a program across advisors. Whoever has the fewest advisees gets the next student.
      • Test before you save. Try any student and preview tonight’s run with your changes.
      • A health check that catches gaps. Programs no rule covers, rules that never run, and advisors who’ve left.

      AI, on your terms

Suggestions advisors review. Never decisions they don’t.

Every suggestion is a starting point an advisor can see, edit or ignore. Your administrators decide which features are on, which AI provider handles requests, and what student information is shared.

      • Off means off. Turn AI off and student records never leave Wondervisor. Every page still works.
      • Names stay home. Remove names, IDs and contact details before anything is sent.
      • Bring your own provider. Use Wondervisor AI, or your institution’s Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini agreement.

      Questions, answered.

How are new students assigned to advisors?

Your advising center sets assignment rules by program, concentration, credits, class level or admission type, and puts them in order. Each night Wondervisor checks new and changed students against the rules, top to bottom, and the first match assigns the advisor. Students no rule covers wait in their department’s queue. You can test any student and preview the night’s run before saving changes.

Can students book appointments with their advisor?

Yes. Each advisor sets weekly hours, meeting types and booking rules, then shares a personal link. Students pick a time, choose in person, video or phone, and get reminders. Advisors can open a meeting type to anyone or limit it to their advisees through campus sign-in.

We already use Bookings, Calendly or Navigate. Do we have to switch?

No. Choose your tool in Admin and every “Book time” button and advisor link goes there. With Microsoft Bookings or Calendly connected, booked appointments also appear on advisors’ Coming up lists and student records. You can let advisors pick their own tool, or turn booking off entirely.

Does booking work with our calendars?

Advisors using Wondervisor booking pages can connect their Microsoft 365 or Google calendar, so busy times are never offered and new appointments can be added automatically. Only free/busy is read; event titles and details stay private.

Do advisors have to use AI?

No. Administrators can turn AI off entirely or one feature at a time. With it off, student records never leave Wondervisor and every page still works.

      Which AI does Wondervisor use?

Wondervisor AI is included. If your institution has its own agreement, you can use your Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenAI-compatible (including Azure OpenAI), or Google Gemini key instead.

      How do people sign in?

With their campus account over SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect: Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Shibboleth/InCommon and others. You test it with your own account before turning it on, and administrators keep a password fallback.

Can it look like our school?

Yes. Upload your logo, take the colors Wondervisor suggests from it or pick your own, set the page background, and optionally color the Wondervisor icon to match.

Does it work with our student information system?

Wondervisor loads advisees, schedules, holds and registration authorizations from your SIS through a scheduled import into staging tables on your own database server. Any SIS that can export that data can feed it, and we map yours during setup.

      Where does Wondervisor run?

On your campus. Each institution hosts its own copy, so student records stay on servers you control and people sign in with your campus accounts.

      How is student data protected?

Names, IDs and contact details can be removed before any AI request, keys and secrets are write-only, and you decide which provider, if any, receives requests.
